[Subsidised] ReefX Expedition (2 Survey Dives)
 
Join us on a dive survey to catalogue our marine life! Each of these days, we will do two dives. 
 
! We have a limited number of subsidised slots for each trip. 
Hantu - 8 subsidised slots 
Semakau - 6 subsidised slots
Bendera Bay - 6 subsidised slots
 
! Each person can only sign up for ONE survey dive at these subsidised rates. 
If you sign up for more than once, the additional dive will be refunded to you, less 3.4% credit card processing fee.

If the quota for each date at the subsidised rate is full, please select a different date, or sign-up with the regular rates in the link above 
 
Survey Dive consists of four parts:
 
Part 1: E-learning: Reef Ecology, Marine Fauna, Bioblitz, UW photography (4.5 hours)
Part 2: Survey dive day (2 dives)
Part 3: Data review session (online Zoom) 
Part 4: Data logging by the last day of the month 
 
Details will be sent to you about 1 week before your selected dive survey date 
 
Upon successful dive survey completion:
  • Divers who demonstrate aptitude will be invited for future survey dives, subject to availability of spots on the expedition. 
 
Minimum Requirements
  • Advanced Open Water certification and above
  • Minimum 30 total logged dives
  • Minimum 2 logged dives in Singapore waters, logged within year 2023
  • Bring your own / rented underwater camera 
  • Bring your own / rented diving gear
 
Points to Note:
  • By booking the survey dive, you agree to all the dates set out for the month.  
  • Divers will be required to sign a waiver and indemnity form to participate in the dives.
  • In the event of stormy weather, dives will be rescheduled to another date, no cancellations or refunds will be allowed. 
  • Divers may be added to a WhatsApp group chat for communication purposes.
  • After purchasing your ticket, you will be contacted by our Coordinator with further details 
 
Programme cost: This includes cost of the boat charter, 2 tanks (ie 2 dives) on 1 day, dive guide, programme administrative costs, data storage fees
 
Rate includes a 1-year Membership with Marine Stewards worth $58, that includes a limited edition trucker cap

  • As we are a very small team of volunteers, we are not able to handle cancellations and refunds. If you have signed up, we would have secured your slot for you. If you are unable to attend any of the sessions or the dive, your amount will be forfeited and accounted for as a donation towards Marine Stewards. 

    Programme fees are an important part of helping to keep Marine Stewards in operation. These fees go towards covering the boat and tank rentals, allowances for our guides, data storage and management, and programme-related expenses around administrative, logistics and accounts work. 

    ReefX is a long term effort and committed individuals are encouraged to return on a regular basis to conduct survey dives.
